Get onboarded with the Numverify API and start validating phone numbers in just a few minutes!

Step 1: Get Your API Access Key

Sign up for a free account to start using the Numverify API. Once registered, your personal API Access Key will be available in the Dashboard. This key is required to authenticate all API requests—keep it secure. You can reset it anytime from your Account Dashboard.

Step 2: Make API Request

Since all phone number validation data is returned by the same main API endpoint, making a request is simple.

Call the API directly using this URL (also check it in your browser):

Required parameter:

• number – The phone number you want to validate.

Optional parameters:

• country_code – Specify a country code if you want to validate a national phone number.
• format – Set to 1 to request prettified JSON (for debugging only).
• callback – Provide a JSONP callback function name (see "JSONP Callbacks" section).

You can also get started quickly with Postman by forking the official Numverify API Postman Collection.

Step 3: First API Call

The Numverify Postman Collection contains all the endpoints supported by the API. We recommend starting with the validate endpoint to verify any phone number worldwide.
